Level 1: These chargers use a standard 120-volt outlet and can take up to 24 hours to fully charge an EV.

* Level 2: These chargers use a 240-volt outlet and can fully charge an EV in 4-8 hours.

* DC fast chargers: These chargers use direct current to deliver a high-power charge, which can fully charge an EV in 30 minutes or less.

The cost of installing a commercial EV charging station will vary depending on the type of charger, the number of chargers, and the location of the chargers. In general, Level 1 chargers are the least expensive to install, followed by Level 2 chargers, and then DC fast chargers.

FCC, UL, ETL are the most common standards ensuring the highest safety and communications standards.  Also, check for ISO conformity.  There are a number of safety regulations that must be followed when installing and operating commercial EV charging stations. These regulations are designed to protect EV drivers, installers, and the public from fire, electrical shock, and other hazards.
